Caravaca welcomes ONCE Day of the Region of Murcia (14/05/2010)

Guide Dog demonstrations and performances of blind people, between the parallel activities of this celebration

The councilman of Social Promotion, Carmen Ruiz, accompanied by the President of the Territorial Council and the Director in Caravaca de la ONCE, Moya and Ginés Aledo Germain respectively, has been aware of the activities taking place within the ONCE Day in the Region of Murcia , a celebration that this year he moved to Caravaca de la Cruz for the Holy Year 2010.

Mulero Ruiz has taken the call to recognize the work being done by that organization for employment and social integration between groups of people with visual disabilities.

Programming starts this Sunday, May 16, at 1300 hours in Tuzla with a meeting place and demonstration by members of the Guide Dog Association of Murcia.

"The caravaqueños may know the work of these animals and how they are trained," said Germain Moya.

On Monday 17 May, the Theatre Association of Territorial Delegation of ONCE in Murcia Entretelas act at 19:00 pm in the theater Thuillier, staging "La Dama del Alba".

On Saturday, May 22, about 500 people, including members, employees and pensioners of ONCE, enjoy various cultural activities and entertainment.

Station Jubilee will take place in El Salvador, and later, on pilgrimage to the Basilica of Santa and Vera Cruz to win the Jubilee.

Also conduct a cultural tour Caravaca, visiting the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of the festival and other cultural backgrounds.

ONCE in the region employs about 3,000 people, the vast majority of people with disabilities, and provides social services to over 2,700 blind and visually impaired.

Through the Foundation ONCE companies many people with disabilities have gotten a job.

And thanks to the sale of the coupon, not only employ more than 1,000 people with disabilities but those resources, the foundation conducts ONCE accessibility projects and supporting other organizations representing people with disabilities as is the case APCOM in Caravaca.
