The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through the municipal program of psychosocial rehabilitation, is carrying out this summer various improvement works in schools, parks and public buildings.

Among the actions carried out recently is the reform of the park of the 'Old Cemetery', where it has proceeded to the conditioning of the sports court for the practice of basketball and football, the perimeter fence of the playground and the painting of the banks.

Also, taking advantage of the holiday period, two classrooms have been renovated in the Cervantes school and the common areas of pavilion A of the school 'La Santa Cruz'.

The 15 users who participate in this program have also worked on the exterior painting of the municipal swimming pool and on the repainting of the benches located in the garden of the neighborhood of 'Los Juncos' and in several green spaces of the districts.

The City of Caravaca de la Cruz performs these improvement actions through the municipal psychosocial rehabilitation program, the result of the collaboration agreement it has with the Murciano Health Service and the Murcia Psychosocial Rehabilitation Association (ISOL).

This program, which is in operation throughout the year, pursues a dual purpose: the psychosocial rehabilitation and pre-employment training of people with chronic mental illness or problems of drug addiction and the performance of works of interest in public spaces of the municipality.

The joint objective of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz and the Murcia Psychosocial Rehabilitation Association is to provide individualized itineraries and personal accompaniment to each beneficiary who wishes to initiate a process of improvement of their personal and professional situation, favoring the labor insertion;

the reduction of relapse rates and the improvement of the quality of life of the affected people and their families, while materializing projects for the benefit of the community.
