The Councilor for Social Services, María José Soria, has handed over to the presidents of the delegations that Cáritas has in the parishes of the municipality the subsidies that the City of Caravaca de la Cruz grants to this organization to help the most disadvantaged social groups
The Caravaqueño Consistory allocates a total of 18,000 euros per year to Cáritas, an amount that becomes effective in two installments, at the end and beginning of the year, and which is distributed among its three delegations.
This economic aid is used to purchase perishable food, which comes to complete the lots that are received from the National Food Fund, as well as to meet other basic and urgent needs of families in situations of vulnerability and / or social exclusion.
Soria thanked the work carried out by all Caritas volunteers, "helping and always being on the side of the people who need it the most".
