The Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz joins the celebration of the XXX anniversary of the legendary film 'Amanece que no es poco' and will do so with a double screening of film dedicated to its director José Luis Cuerda.

The session is scheduled for this Sunday, March 3, at the Thuillier Theater and will begin at 5:00 pm with 'Tiempo después', the feature film that has led to the return of Cuerda to the big screen, accompanied by a whole generation of comedians who 'Amanece que no es poco' has influenced them decisively when it comes to shaping their particular way of understanding humor (from the members of'Muchachada Nui ', Andreu Buenafuente, Arturo Valls or Berto Romero).

Cuerda pays its own tribute to 'Amanece, que no es poca', recalling many of its scenes, phrases and characters, but with a contextualized history in a post-apocalyptic future, where the whole world has been reduced to a building and suburbs.

Then, at 7:00 pm, 'Amanece que no es poco' will be screened, premiered in 1989. Then, neither its director, José Luis Cuerda from Albacete, nor many Spaniards, imagined that it would become a cult film over the years , with acolytes of all idiosyncrasies.

The film begins with the story of Teodoro, a Spanish engineer who works at the University of Oklahoma and is on sabbatical.

Antonio Resines and Luis Ciges are the main protagonists of a choral story that owes much of the success to its actors.

They gave faces to the inhabitants of this Spanish town Manuel Alexandre, Chus Lampreave, Casto Sendra 'Cassen', Maria Isbert, Rafael Alonso, Violeta Cela, Gabino Diego, Ovidi Montflor, Miguel Rellán, Pastora Vega, Enrique San Francisco, Tito Valverde and Guillermo Montesinos, among many others.

The double session has an entry of 4.50 euros and free access is allowed to those spectators who come characterized by any of the characters in the film.
