The Culture Committee of the Congress of Deputies has once again shown its support for the candidature of the Wine Horses for Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The political parties represented in the commission expressed their unanimous support during the debate on the non-law proposal presented by the Citizens' parliamentary group.
The Mayor of the Cross, José Moreno, who went to the Congress, recalled that following the times and deadlines established by UNESCO, the candidature of the Caballos del Vino will be presented to the Secretariat of Intangible Cultural Heritage of said international organization on March 31 of this year, to be studied and evaluated in the 2020 Committee.
Last year 2018 the file of the candidature of the Caballos del Vino was adapted to the new requirements approved in the UNESCO Convention of 2017. The process began in 2010, when the necessary procedures for its declaration by UNESCO began as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
