In memory of the founder of the emblematic chocolate factory 'Supremo', the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has dedicated a street in the industrial estate of Cavila to Enrique López Bustamante, great-grandfather of the current president of the Grupo Desserts Reina, Alfonso López Rueda.
The act of discovering the plaque was attended by the mayor, José Moreno, the general secretary of Industry and Small and Medium Enterprises, Raúl Blanco, and the delegate of the Government in the Region of Murcia, Diego Conesa, with relatives and directors of the Reina group.
During the ceremony, the mayor said that "a debt owed by the city to the family was settled, since it was the first of a great saga of businessmen that have sweetened our lives and, above all, contributed to prosperity and exterior image of Caravaca de la Cruz ".
The president of Grupo Reina said that Enrique López Bustamante "would be proud to see his name on this street so important for the family -where the headquarters and the Caravaca factory are located- and would also be very happy to see how the great seed that he planted in 1926, which has maintained a family tradition for five, and almost six, generations. "
