The Department of Sports of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, in collaboration with the Association 'Murcian Chess', held on Saturday March 16 a Chess Tournament to mark the start of the classroom of the Municipal School of Chess (EMA) .
The tournament will consist of two participation categories: 'Escolar', which will be played in the morning for players up to 16 years of age, and 'Open', which will start at 17.30 for all audiences.
The players can be of any level, place, nationality or age and it is not necessary to be federated to dispute the championship.
The tournament will be played by 'Suizo a 7 roondas' system, with a game rhythm of 7 minutes per player plus 2 additional seconds of increment per play.
'Swiss Manager' will be the computer program that will be in charge of the automatic matches of the tournament and the regulation of the FIDE Laws of Chess will be put into practice.
The tiebreaker criteria to follow will be: 'Bucholz FIDE', 'Progressive' and 'Highest number of wins'.
The place of celebration will be the Municipal School of Chess, located in a municipal building on Ingeniero Oñate Street (n ° 1-Floor 1), next to the Plaza del Arco.
The tournament will have numerous prizes for those classified in its two modalities of participation and, in addition, lots will be drawn among the participants of a digital clock and a complete game of board plus pieces.
The registration fee is five euros for the school category and ten euros for the open category.
Only a total of 24 players will be admitted for each of the two tournaments and the inscriptions will remain open until the maximum quota is reached.
