The House of Culture 'Emilio Sáez' hosted the round table 'The Fraternity, social relations and citizen participation', in which speakers as the lawyer, diplomat and expert in Cooperation and International Policy Fernando López de Rego and the researcher, teacher and director of Eticambio (fair trade company) Rocío Ortiz Galindo.
They were presented by Juan Carlos Castillo, of Juventudes Socialistas, and Daniel Espallardo, of New Generations.
The events promoted jointly by the local association 'Unity and Fraternity' and the City of Caravaca de la Cruz on the occasion of the celebration of the 'Day of the Fraternity' will continue this Saturday, March 23, with an institutional act, scheduled at 12.00 hours, in the Plenary Hall of the Consistory.
During the same, it will proceed to read a manifesto and will be awarded the prizes of the Drawing Contest, aimed at children in Early Childhood and Primary Education, and Short Story Contest, for students of Secondary Education.
The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz approved in plenary its adhesion to the Association 'Cities for the Fraternity' (CxF).
This association, formed last September, is currently made up of five municipalities (Aínsa-Sobrarbe, from Huesca, Don Álvaro, from Badajoz, Caravaca de la Cruz, from Murcia, Utrillas, from Teruel and Platja D'Aro, from Girona ), along with six associations (Humanidad Nueva España, of national scope, Unity and Fraternity, of Caravaca de la Cruz, ACLF Aljucer, of Murcia, Ganbo Iturri, of the Basque Country, Levántate and Anda, of Coslada, and Humanitá Nova, of Catalonia) and more than sixty members individually;
who have decided to create a permanent work space of positive experiences, that are put into a network and multiply, where values ​​such as peace, human rights, social justice and especially, universal brotherhood are manifested.
