The City of Caravaca de la Cruz has expanded the public school of Navares with the construction of a classroom, work that has involved an investment of 15,600 euros.
The mayor, José Moreno, has visited the center, along with the councilors of Education and Works, Ana Luisa Marcos and Jesús Sánchez, the pedáneo Ărsula Marín and the director of the school, Luis Vázquez.
There they explained that it was an action demanded by both the school management and the association of fathers and mothers, since the facilities had been small to accommodate the 45 students currently enrolled in this educational center, dependent on the Rural School Grouped (CRA) 'Sierra de Mojantes' by Archivel.
"This type of actions corresponds to the implementation of the Ministry of Education, but since it was an urgent need and the terms were lengthened, from the City Council decided to make an effort to undertake it with municipal budget," said the mayor.
