The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, attended today in Caravaca de la Cruz the commemorative mass of the appearance of the Holy Cross and the subsequent transfer of the traditional 'Flower Tray' to the church of San José, within the Celebrations of the Santísima and Vera Cruz, declared of International Tourist Interest.
"Some festivals in which the devotion, the faith towards the Most Holy and Vera Cruz and the spectacularity of the Caballos del Vino are mixed", said the president, who recalled that they are candidates to be declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO , "and the Government of the Region of Murcia will be by your side supporting and defending this statement," he said.
The president of the Community wished luck to the 60 clubs and riders who will participate in these festivities, which alone today bring together more than 200,000 people in Caravaca de la Cruz, holy city and one of the pillars of tourism of the Region of Murcia.
