The Young Orchestra of the Northwest of the Region of Murcia (JONOMUR) prepares in Caravaca de la Cruz its participation in the Festival 'Eurochestries', which is celebrated in France from July 31 to August 11.
They will offer a total of eight concerts in different towns and cities in the Charente-Maritime region.
The more than fifty components of the orchestra - which brings together young people from the Region and also from other parts of the Region - together with its artistic and pedagogical director, Juan Jesús López Sandoval, shared one of the rehearsals with the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Francisco García, and the Councilor for Culture, Juan Manuel de León, showing them a part of the repertoire of Spanish compositions that they will present at this prestigious European festival, together with the lyric singer Marina Rojas.
"From Caravaca City Council we are delighted to collaborate with them because participation in this festival is a great opportunity for the personal and cultural enrichment of young people, as they will share an experience with more than 500 musicians from other European countries, speaking the language universal music, "said the mayor during the rehearsal visit.
During the festival, the participating orchestras give concerts with their own program, but they also work together with the other nationalities to prepare the closing concert.
The 'Eurochestries' festivals are an occasion for young musicians to gather around a strong common project, to discover other pedagogies, other musical sensibilities and to work under the direction of different orchestra conductors.
