The Young Aspirants Orchestra of the Region of Murcia offers a concert this Saturday at the church of San José de Caravaca (07/11/2019)

The students and teachers of the caravaqueño conservatory are also integrated into the activity, which includes classes, essays and tourist visits

The Orchestra of Young Aspirants of the Region of Murcia (OARM) will offer an audition concert this Saturday, November 9, at 8:00 p.m., in the church of San José of the former convent of the Carmelites, in the main street.

"The activity is framed in a training and coexistence meeting that will last throughout the day on Saturday in our city, bringing together the forty young members of the orchestra and their families, so it is a way to unite education, tourism and culture in capital letters ", highlighted the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Francisco García.

The director general of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts, Juan Antonio Lorca, also participated in the presentation of the event;

the manager of the Symphony Orchestra Foundation, Alberto Garre, and the director of the caravaqueño conservatory, Raúl Bartomeu, who have explained the activities that are scheduled and will have the aforementioned free access concert as a climax.

The day, organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture in collaboration with the Department of Education of the City of Caravaca, will begin with classes at the Professional Conservatory of Music 'Leandro Martínez Romero', taught by teachers of the violin specialty Raúl Bartomeu, Mabel Arribas and Antonio Morote, and cello, Juanma Salinas.

After these, the young musicians will visit the Royal Basilica Sanctuary of Vera Cruz and the Fiesta Museum.

The director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts, Juan Antonio Lorca, has reported that "on this occasion, the regional Aspirants Orchestra will develop their artistic skills in a unique environment such as the city of Caravaca de la Cruz, which it allows its members, in addition to working and learning in musical matters, to know different enclaves of the Region of Murcia and thus add to the artistic, a fantastic cultural and heritage formation. "

The day of coexistence and teaching of the OARM will continue with a joint rehearsal under the baton of its director, Emilio Fenoy, which will be followed by an audition in the Church of San José de Caravaca, where he will interpret the overture of 'The entrance of the Queen of Shaba ', of Haendel, and the Symphony of Toys, of Haydn.

This audition will take place at 8:00 p.m. and admission will be free until full capacity is reached.

"The days of coexistence between members of the Orchestra are a very positive complement to the usual classes and group rehearsals that are being developed in the Víctor Villegas Regional Auditorium, as they strengthen and reinforce personal ties between children and that translates into a greater enjoyment of their work and, of course, better performance, "added Lorca.

The Autonomous Community recovered this year the Orchestra of Aspirants of the Region of Murcia formed by children between 10 and 15 years.

He was born in the Youth Orchestra in the 1986/1987 season and was the first orchestral formation of these characteristics that was created in Spain.

Until its activity ceased (2005) almost 400 children passed through its lecterns, many of which are now part of the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia or have developed their careers in prestigious national and international formations such as the National Orchestra of Spain, RTVE Orchestra , Berlin Philharmonic, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam or the Birmingham Symphony, among others.
