The multi-year expenditure of the Northwest dual carriageway does not reduce or affect the regional government's investments in the municipalities that are in its area of ​​influence, according to the regional deputies of the Popular Party, Victor Martínez-Carrasco and José Soria, who have Participated in the meeting held by the representatives of the municipalities of Caravaca, Mula, Cehegín and Bullas with members of the different parliamentary groups.
As the popular deputies explained to them at the meeting, the territorialisation of investment by the Northwest motorway in budgets is an accounting data and does not compute as a criterion for allocating investments in each municipality.
In fact, Soria and Martínez-Carrasco have shown that the investments they receive are in line with those of other municipalities that have a similar population in the Region.
As a point to point out, between 2012 and 2015, the regional government has included in the budgets more than 38.4 million euros divided into actions among the five municipalities mentioned, which means an increase in investment during that period of 11 ,twenty-one%.
The autonomous people's deputies have supported the request made by the mayors of the municipalities of the Northwest so that the financing of the motorway does not appear as a territorial expense, a demand that will be transferred to the regional government.
Soria and Martínez-Carrasco have recalled the social benefit that this infrastructure, built with the taxes of all citizens of the Region of Murcia, has contributed to the area, a benefit of more than 300 million euros, in addition to an increase of The road safety that has resulted in a notable reduction of traffic accidents.
