The associations of the Federation of Mental Health of the Region of Murcia have met today in Caravaca de la Cruz to participate in the 'FestiArte', activity in framed in the commemorative acts of the tenth anniversary of Afemnor.
After enjoying a lunch at the Festival Museum, the 350-plus visitors have moved to the Thuillier theater, where different cultural activities have been held with the aim of making the mental health and the work of the various associations, such as Has informed the councilor of Social Services in Consistorio caravaqueño, Mª José Soria, who has attended the festival, accompanied by the president of Afemnor, Paco Garcia.
In the festival, called "A look at art from the heart", associations have come from Murcia, Cartagena, Águilas, Cehegín and Molina de Segura, among other municipalities, as well as the Caravela Apcom.
The Association of Relatives and Persons with Mental Illness of the Northwest (Afemnor) was created ten years ago as an initiative of relatives, people with mental illness and professionals sensitized with the need to improve and promote the creation of socio-sanitary resources that favor the complete Integration of the person with mental illness in their social environment.
Afemnor aims to promote comprehensive recovery and improvement of care and quality of life of patients, as well as providing the necessary support to relatives and friends.
