In order to gather the proposals and suggestions of the neighbors for the drafting of the 'Strategy for Sustainable Urban Development' (EDUSI), the Department of Transparency and Citizen Participation of the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz has convened a meeting open this Friday , November 18, at 7:00 p.m., in the Plenary Hall.
The purpose of this meeting is to listen to citizens and take their opinions into account in order to define the lines of work that will be reflected in the 'Sustainable Urban Development Strategy', understood as a project that allows to opt for funds from the European Union, With which to carry out focused actions improve the municipality and with it the quality of life of its neighbors.
The main areas of focus of EDUSI are: improvements in quality and access to information technologies (ICTs), reduction of CO2 emissions, protection of the environment and efficiency in the use of resources, and Such as the fight against inequality and poverty by promoting inclusion policies.
The ERDF regulation states that during the period 2014-2020, at least 5% of the resources of this fund should be used to finance sustainable development measures, integrated into strategies developed by cities or other bodies.
The objective of the Consistorio Caravaqueño with the drafting of this strategy is environmentally sustainable urban development, promoting social dynamization projects that contribute to urban and socio-economic cohesion and that conserve the existing cultural and natural heritage.
The caravaqueños can also be part of the EDUSI process by completing the survey published on the municipal web portal caravaca.org.
