The last motion of the Popular Group advocates strengthening the conservation and maintenance of green spaces, parks, gardens and natural sites of the urban center and the districts
Studying the best management in the natural landscape of the Fuentes del Marqués, in order to avoid actions that affect its conservation status, and to realize a comprehensive plan for improvement and conservation of the green spaces and natural places of the municipality is the objective of the last motion Registered by the Ppular Group for its debate in the Plenum of the City of Caravaca.
"The green spaces of our municipality are places of meeting and enjoyment for many neighbors, as well as the ideal place to play sports or spend some time outdoors and disconnect from the daily routine, and especially for children to play in contact With nature, "explained the popular councilor Ana Belén Martínez, who added that" in addition to these parks and gardens, Caravaca de la Cruz has a privileged natural landscape, the Fuentes del Marqués, place with which many of us We identify because it has everything we need to spend a pleasant time of outdoor enjoyment just minutes from the town.
La Fuentes del Marqués has become the meeting point for many families in Caravaca, the Region of Murcia and other bordering provinces during weekends and holidays, and even on weekdays there are groups of schoolchildren and others Users who visit the place to perform different activities in nature.
"Some of these visitors do not act with enough respect towards the place and among the activities that they do not respect, they find that they do not collect all the garbage or do not collect it properly, they do not scold children when they do not respect the environment. That surrounds them, they bathe in some of the pools, they do not settle in the zones enabled for it ... all these actions negatively affect the nature and the state of the place, "said Ana Belén Martínez.
"The natural landscape of the Fuentes del Marqués is an idyllic place that needs the best management so that it can be kept in the best state throughout the year," declared the popular mayor.
One of the measures that the motion calls for is to install security in the area of ​​the Fuentes del Marqués with the figure of a vigilante and more presence of the Local Police.
"It could start on weekends and holidays, and this security could be extended to seven days a week, as the Fuentes receive visitors every day," said the mayor.
On the other hand, the motion calls for the clarification and improvement of the explanatory signs of flora and fauna in the area that serve as an environmental education tool, as well as for the users of the Sources to know, without a guide, the different Species on the site.
Finally, the proposal of the Popular Group proposes that a continuous, adequate and based on the existing needs of each one of the parks and gardens of the urban helmet and the districts of the municipality be carried out.
Likewise, the realization of a study of the needs that the neighbors of each of them demand, so that they can be covered and progressively improving.
