Caravaca de la Cruz, Cehegín and Calasparra present a joint tourist offer at the 37th edition of the Madrid International Tourism Fair (FITUR), which opens tomorrow, Wednesday, and runs until Sunday.
Along with the promotion of the Jubilee Year 2017 as a destination for pilgrimage, the three municipalities will join efforts to publicize the patrimonial, natural and gastronomic resources of the Northwest Region of the Region of Murcia.

The same, in addition to having an area for meetings and meetings with professionals in the sector, will be equipped with five backlit panels, with images, and a curved screen, which will be projected three audiovisuals made for the occasion on Caravaca de la Cruz , Cehegín and Calasparra.
Another of the goals set for the next edition of FITUR is to promote gastronomic tourism, promoting all the products with Denomination of Origin that there is in the Northwest Region.
Throughout the fair there will be different presentations on the offer of accommodation, restaurants and museums, along with gastronomic tastings, in which a total of 18 companies from the region will collaborate.
Likewise, twelve draws will be held, three each day, of lots of the most representative products of each of the three municipalities.
From its inauguration by the kings of Spain tomorrow, Wednesday, the fair will gather in the Ifema precinct the main international and national destinations, agencies and tour operators, hotels and restaurants, transport companies and technology and services companies.
FITUR will occupy a total area of ​​62,494 square meters, grouping the offer of 9,672 companies, from 165 countries and regions.
FITUR, the second most important tourism fair in the world, after the ITB Berlin, and the first for the Latin American market, is responsible for opening the calendar of the international fair circuit of the sector.
This edition, the Madrid event has been designated by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) to host the celebration of the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, declared by the United Nations.
