The project aims at avoiding duplication of equipment and for young people to benefit from a single, tiered and regulated structure

The Department of Sports of the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz promotes a project to unify the local football offer, promoting a unique structure that brings together the Municipal Sports Schools and the various associations and clubs.

The head of the Sports area, Antonio Donate, has reported that both the Peña Madridista de Caravaca and the Sports Association Caravaca Vera Cruz have been in favor of this proposal in different meetings and are collaborating with the City Council to shape the new structure of Club, both directive and technical.

In addition, he pointed out that from the Department of Sports continues working to integrate all associations and groups related to football in the same project.

According to Antonio Donate, "for the Department of Sports this unification would be a success for our young players, with a staggered, regulated sports training and with a defined and unique structure."

The mayor of Sports has also pointed out other favorable aspects "such as avoiding duplication of equipment, which favors a better distribution and use of municipal sports spaces for training and official meetings, as well as a more defined and feasible form of aid or collaboration."

"After two years in which we have tried to get this project to go ahead, the next season 2017/2018 gives the necessary conditions to make it happen," said Donate, who considers a very positive development, as teams are unified and Efforts are being made, encompassing a joint and solid project with all sports categories, from pre-youth to veterans.

One of the keys that facilitates this project of unification of the local football has been the coincidence of the two senior teams in the same category, First Autonomous, fact that in previous seasons caused the main divergences between the parties.

In this way, the Peña Madridista club in Caravaca and the Caravaca Sports Association Vera Cruz are merged for the next season, adopting a unique name, representative of the city, and having as subsidiaries the bases of the Municipal Football School.
