Throughout the weekend, the walk of La Corredera hosts 'Solidarity with Africa', an activity framed in the Fiestas del Carmen, organized by volunteers of the NGO 'Solidarity with the World', with the collaboration of the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz, the Discalced Carmelite Fathers of Caravaca and different local musicians.
On June 7th, 8th and 9th, you will be able to taste solid tapas at the 'El Rincón de Cádiz' booth and buy handicraft and natural cosmetics products at the Missionary Market.
Children's activities are also planned, such as a drawing competition and traditional games.
Different artists have wanted to collaborate with 'Solidarity with Africa' and offer mini concerts.
On Friday, July 7, will perform 'Intempo' (20.30 hours) and the group 'Pulso y púa de Luis Noguera' (22.30 hours).
On Saturday, July 8, the activity 'Solidarity with Africa' will be enlivened by 'Double direction' (20.30 hours) and Pedro Danone, singer of 'Fitipaldico' (21.00 hours).
The performances will be closed on Sunday, July 9, with Ana Crusa (20.30 hours).
The entire collection of the Missionary Market and the solidarity tapas will go to the NGO of the Discalced Carmelite Fathers 'Solidarity with the World' (SOLMUN).
The organization promotes development cooperation projects in Côte d'Ivoire and Burkina Faso, countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
The purpose of all the projects promoted by this NGO, through Carmelite Missionaries, is to support and work on the basis of human development itself: promoting education, academic and labor training, specifically supporting women in all areas and Facilitating health care.
