The New Murcia Forum (FNM) has awarded one of its annual awards to the Jubilee Year 2017 of Caravaca de la Cruz, for its contribution to the development of the tourism sector in the Region.
The mayor, José Moreno, and the eldest sister of the Colegio de la Vera Cruz, Elisa Giménez-Girón, were in charge of collecting this prize, at the closing of the fifth season of conferences.
During the event, held in Agalia hotel in Murcia, with the presence of the Regional Assembly President, Rosa Peñalver, and the representatives of the companies patronas and sponsors of FNM, a total of 13 awards were given, with which New Forum Murcia wanted to recognize the work and trajectory of different entities and personalities for their contribution to the Region in very different areas.
Together with the Jubilee Year 2017, the State Agency of Tax Administration of Murcia, the Tana hortofrutícola, the Federation of People of Parkinson's of the Region of Murcia, the Social Economy of Murcia and Esamur were awarded.
They also distinguished the president of the Fuertes Group, Tomás Fuertes;
Professor Enrique Egea, surgeon Juan José Martínez Navarro, President of the University and Company Foundation, Antonio Ballester, and businessman Teodoro Hernández.
The honor prize was awarded to the Central Syndicate of Irrigators of the Tajo-Segura Aqueduct (Scrats), on the 35th anniversary of its constitution.
The Forum New Murcia was created to channel and contribute to the society of the Region of Murcia ideas and reflections of vanguard of personalities of first international, national and regional order.
Through an annual program of meetings, the forum brings together the most influential companies in the Region of Murcia and the most prominent national and international political, business and social figures.
Its objective is to consolidate itself as a space of opinion and of independent and plural debate.
