As it is known, the three opposition political groups (PP, IU and C's) voted in that plenary against this budget project, which was an unusual fact in our Town Hall since it has not been approved a budget of a Year Jubilar 2017 that gave us the opportunity to relaunch the local economy.
In the case of the PP, our position was duly considered and was sustained in many reasons that in recent months have happened.
We start from the fact that the PSOE maintains a government in minority that takes the project of budgets late, very late, at the end of July precisely of a Jubilee Year, and what is more inexplicable still, without having a minimum pact so that this Budget to go forward, because what has really happened is that it has neither had nor had the real intention of dialoguing or agreeing with the opposition parties, we are representatives of more than half of the citizens.
We added that in June the local government asked the opposition groups to take responsibility for solving a gigantic ballot, the gap of more than 2 million euros, a gap that hid us for six months from the three opposition parties , Which resulted in a significant loss of confidence.
We continue to remember reasons, such as that the local government has none of our proposals as a tax ordinance with a tax cut that sought to encourage the local economy through tourism and commerce and enable entrepreneurs and investors to look at our city.
Not to include in the budget motions approved in Plenary to execute them in this exercise or to convene this Plenary of Budgets on the same day that the exhibition 'Signum', financed by the Camino de la Cruz Foundation and the Regional Government, was abandoned, leaving in half Of this act to all regional authorities.
This motive, purely courtesy and obviously not transcendental in deciding our vote, made evident the sectarianism and lack of height of sight of our local rulers.
We could list a long list of factors in addition to those already exposed, such as the concealment of transcendental information, such as the consolidated budget of municipal society accounts (Caravaca Radio and Caravaca Jubilar), the creation of new posts of trust, Lack of negotiating waistline, etc.
All this is nothing more than a reflection of the lack of initiative and lack of initiative of the local government team.
If a budget is the numerical reflection of a political project, we see that there is no such project or leadership in Caravaca.
If 21 councilors have the local Corporation, 12 voted against this budget and only nine in favor, I humbly believe that it is for the government team to exercise an exercise of reflection and self-criticism.
From the Popular Group we have been demonstrating in this legislature common sense, responsibility and dialogue attitude when there is no trap or cardboard.
It is in the general interest of the caravaqueños, that is why our position is in favor or of abstention when debating points that require it.
We continue to extend our hand to the Government team, asking them to recognize their limitations when governing in minority and to count on us, with all.
We want to make a useful and constructive opposition, hence the many proposals in the form of amendments that we brought to this budget.
With the month of September around the corner and with him the last quarter of the year, I think it is sensible to start working together so that Caravaca has an agreed budget that comes into force on January 1, 2018.
