Representatives of the brotherhoods of Easter in the Galician municipality of Cangas de Morrazo have been pilgrims to Caravaca de la Cruz, on the occasion of the Jubilee Year 2017, led by their mayor, Xosé Manuel Pazos, and the parish priest of Santiago de Cangas and Islas Cíes, Severo Lobato.
The delegation was received in the Plenary Hall of the City Council by the councilman and second lieutenant of mayor, Enrique Fuentes, and by the Councilor for Tourism, Gloria Gomez, who welcomed them from the city, before the pilgrimage culminated in the Royal Basilica of the True Cross.
The Coordinator of Cofradías de Semana Santa de Cangas de Morrazo, presided by Manuel Gil, participates in the XXX National Encounter of Brotherhoods, which is celebrated from tomorrow, Friday, in Jumilla.
Cagas de Morrazo belongs to the province of Pontevedra and is located between the Ría de Vigo, Aldán and the Atlantic, being one of the municipalities with the most extensive coasts of Spain.
It emphasizes its Holy Week, one of the most important of Galicia.
