In order to promote the taste for Literature and promote new values ​​in this field, the Department of Culture of the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz convenes the Juvenile Literary Contest 'Albacara', which in this edition acquires a regional character.
The 'Albacara' are one of the oldest literary awards in Spain within its category of young talents.
The contest was created in 1972, linked to the community of Carmelitas Descalzos de Caravaca and the youth group 'Albatros', from the club Edith and, years later, it was organized by the Caravaca de la Cruz City Council.
In this edition will be able to participate all the young people of the Region of Murcia, that study between 1 ° of Compulsory Secondary Education and 2 ° of Bachiller, or they have ages between the 12 and the 18 years.
The subject matter is free, and must be the unpublished and original works presented before November 14.
The bases include the modalities of narrative and poetry and three categories of participation according to age.
Six cash prizes will be awarded, two by modality and category.
