The Penitentiary Pastoral Care Center Murcia II, Campos del Rio, has organized a pilgrimage to Caravaca de la Cruz with a group of inmates, which will take place on 24 and 25 October.
The prison chaplain, Antonio Sánchez, says they have asked for authorization for 16 inmates, although they still do not know exactly how many will be able to carry out this path.
They are prisoners (men and women) of respect modules, also known as modules of good behavior, who are authorized to leave the penitentiary with different permissions.
They will be joined by a group of five prison officials and volunteers of Catholic chaplaincy from the prison.
In total, about 25 people will travel to Caravaca to meet the Vera Cruz.
At 7:30 am on Tuesday, October 24, they will leave Campos del Rio to go to Bullas, where they will eat and spend the rest of the day.
The following morning, they will begin the pilgrimage to Caravaca, where they will arrive at noon.
At 5:00 pm the Jubilee celebration will take place in the Basilica Menor-Sanctuary of the True Cross.
