Hostemur celebrates its 40th anniversary in Caravaca and the Festival of Hospitality and Tourism of the Region of Murcia (18/10/2017)

The Regional Federation of Entrepreneurs of Hospitality and Tourism will award, among others, the Camino de la Cruz Foundation and the caravaqueña company Desserts Queen

Coinciding with the Jubilee Year 2017, Hostemur celebrates next Monday, October 23, its Great Feast of Hospitality and Tourism in Caravaca de la Cruz.

The event, consolidated as a highlight of the sector in the Region of Murcia, will be more special this year, as the Regional Federation of Hotel and Tourism Entrepreneurs takes the opportunity to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its creation.

At the event, which will be accompanied by a tasting menu based on the traditional gastronomy of the Northwest Region, Hostemur awards will be awarded.

In this fortieth birthday, the recognition to the 'Professional Career' will be given to the caravaqueña company Desserts Reina.

In addition, the 'Young Entrepreneur' award will be given to Tomás Écija, manager and chef of the restaurants La Maita and Albero.

In the category 'Universal Murcian', the employers want to distinguish the doctor in Pharmacy, a master's degree in Public Health from Harvard University and a nutritionist and creator of the famous 'Diet Garaulet', Marta Garaulet. Navarro Mula, owner of the Antonia Navarro catering, became a benchmark for the collective catering sector in the Region of Murcia. Finally, the Camino de la Cruz Foundation will receive the special mention 'Estrella Levante'.

The event will take place at Salones Pedro Marín at 2 pm, where, starting at 2.30 pm, a lunch will be offered, for which it is necessary to reserve a seat.

This year the theme will be centered on products and recipes characteristic of the Northwest Region, with a menu prepared by chefs Encarna Rodríguez and David Rizos from the restaurant Pedro Marín (Caravaca), Laura Ortega from the restaurant La Almazara (Cehegín), Antonio Raíl Marín of the Murcian Asador (La Paca), Encarna López of the Mill of the river (Barranda), Pedro Pérez de la Muleta (Cehegín), Salvador Fernández del Borrego Restaurant (Bullas), David Muñoz of the Alborada (Murcia), Sebastián de Mesón el Coci (Caravaca), Firo Vázquez of the restaurant El Olivar (Moratalla), J. Miguel del Casino de Mula (Mula) and Paco Molina del Bar Sol (Cehegín).

The event will begin at 12.00 hours, with a pilgrimage of the components of Hostemur to the Royal Basilica of the True Cross and the visit to the exhibition 'Signum.

The glory of the Renaissance ', which is celebrated in the Society of Jesus.

The awards will be given at 2:00 p.m. and at 2.30 p.m., the gastronomy festival will begin.
