A local public employment program has made it possible to expand municipal information and tourist services, thanks to the hiring of six young people under 30 years of age, enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System.
This program, launched by the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Department of Employment, has a budget of 90,000 euros, of which 63,747 are subsidized by the Regional Employment Service and Training (SEF) and the European Social Fund (ESF) and the rest by the Caravaqueño Consistory.
During the six-month period, it will be operational, under the direction of the municipal tourism department, with three employees of information and reception, a monitor of recreational and entertainment activities, a local guide and a technician of businesses and tourist activities.
The young people hired through this program of local public employment develop their professional work in the Tourist Office, in the information points of the Plaza del Arco and Los Andenes Avenue-Gregorio Sánchez Romero, in the Nature Interpretation Center of the Fuentes del Marqués, in the church of San José and in the municipal department of Tourism.
On the other hand, next Monday, November 20, will start another program of local public employment launched by the City of Caravaca de la Cruz for the renovation of the changing rooms of municipal sports courts of Juan Carlos I. This project has with a global budget of 143,677 euros, of which the City Council contributes about 90,000 euros to cover the cost of staff costs and the development of the works and the Regional Employment and Training Service and the European Social Fund 54,000 for costs of hiring unemployed people.
