The Youth Council of Caravaca City Council launches new workshops for leisure and free time (30/11/2017)

Youth has closed courses of initiation to sign language and resources for volunteering and intergenerational animation

The Department of Youth of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has launched new workshops in order to offer young people alternatives for leisure and healthy time off during weekends.

Among the new actions that are being developed are the courses 'Introduction to Photography' and 'Design and Fashion', two of the proposals selected through the program of participatory municipal budgets applied to the area of ​​Youth.

The course 'Introduction to Photography', in which twenty students participate, is taught by caravaqueñas photographers María Caparrós and Marina Campoy, who, during twelve theoretical-practical hours in the Youth Center and in different locations of the city, show basic photography techniques.

On December 28, coinciding with the Christmas holiday period, 'Smartphotography' will begin, the objective of which is to learn techniques and resources for taking photos using mobile devices.

Within the program of leisure and free time the Department of Youth, is also developing the 'Municipal School of Theater', directed by Caravaqueña actress Lola Salcedo, which involved more than 30 young people and children, divided by age groups .

The Department of Youth has recently closed the courses of 'Sign Language', given by the volunteer of the Association of Attention to Diversity 'Adinor', Ángel Martínez;

'Techniques and resources for intergenerational animation', in which the School of Education 'El Molino' has shown techniques to work in leisure time with older people, and 'Resources and techniques for volunteering', which has served as a point of Meeting for young people involved in different social actions.

Another of the proposals for leisure and free time that take place in the Youth Center is the 'Playroom of inclusion and integration', which is attended by 20 children and children with disabilities and students on scholarships by the City of Caravaca.
