The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, has received in the Hall of the Consistory Plenary his counterpart in the municipality of Murcia, José Ballesta, who has made a pilgrimage to the city, accompanied by ten councilors of his government team and staff of the Murcia City Hall
As a reminder of this meeting, José Ballesta has delivered to José Moreno a reproduction of the parchment of 1266 in which he communicated the 'Rolling Privilege of King Alfonso X to the city of Murcia, granting him the jurisdiction of Seville'.
For his part, José Moreno has presented him with a miniature replica of the Baroque portal of the Royal Basilica of the True Cross and he has expressed his gratitude for the visit they have made to the city taking advantage of the final stretch of the Jubilee Year 2017.
After the reception, the nearly 40 members of the Murcia City Council went to the parish of El Salvador to continue to the Castle, where they attended the Pilgrim's Mass, accompanied by the elder sister of the Brotherhood of Vera Cruz, Elisa Giménez-Girón.
