The exhibition hall of the old Compañía de Jesús hosts a commemorative exhibition of the 40th anniversary of the Peña Caballista Mayrena, composed of photographs and pieces of harness from 1977 to the present.
The exhibition was inaugurated, after the discovery of the plaque that will remember these forty years of history in the Plaza de los Caballos del Vino, in the neighborhood of 'El Hoyo', where each May 1 takes place the 'Caballo a Pelo' contest .
Both the discovery of the plaque and the inauguration of the exhibition counted with the participation of the mayor, José Moreno;
as well as the elder sister of the Brotherhood of the True Cross, Elisa Giménez-Girón;
of the president of the Bands of the Horse of the Wine, Juan Damián Martínez, and of the amazonas Mayor and Infantil, María Marín and Andrea López respectively, among other festive positions, who wanted to accompany the members of the aforementioned peña caballista.
The exhibition, organized with the collaboration of the departments of Culture and Celebrations of the City of Caravaca, will remain open to the public until Sunday, April 22, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
