Young people participating in youth meetings caravaqueños Europeans (28/07/2010)

Caravaqueños youth have participated in two European youth meetings held in the Czech Republic and Hungary.

The councilman of Youth, Antonia M ª Álvarez, said that these activities, as part of the programming of leisure Summer Youth, "are a great opportunity for intercultural encounters and to bring the idea of Europe to young people."

At the meeting held in the Czech city of Klimkovice the 12 winners have participated in the anti-smoking program "Healthy Travel" along with 150 other young people from 10 European countries.

For one week, the caravaqueños have been part of various activities including cultural tours, games and group dynamics to promote the exchange of experiences among participants.

Parallel to the meeting, council members and delegates from different countries have held meetings and meetings to exchange ideas regarding youth programs that develop in each of their cities.

In addition, 5 young people belonging to the group Nueve.e, have participated in the New Europe Youth Meeting, held in the Hungarian town of Bordany.

The meeting had as main objective to reflect, through various activities and workshops on the Europe we want to build youth.

The Youth Council of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz remains committed to participation in European programs to meet the objectives of the European concept of rapprochement between the young and dynamic and cultural knowledge of the countries comprising the European Union.

Summer Youth

In addition to those youth meetings during the month of July were held various activities under the Summer Youth program, as the Municipal School Summer Camp in Las Nogueras, Field Work Greenway and dance workshops , Computer & Skate.

The initiatives planned this summer to the youth of the city are enjoying great acceptance, since, according to the councilman of Youth, there are over 200 children and adolescents who are enrolled in organized activities.

Some of the initiatives that have enjoyed greater acceptance has been the School of Dance, taught by instructors of the "Fama, a bailar" in the Youth Center and Skate workshop being held in the Santa Cruz school playground .
