The Department of Health of the City of Caravaca has recently signed a deal with the association "Pro Animal Companions" to the collection and care of abandoned dogs in the street.

Moreover, the City of Caravaca has published an edict in order to remind all citizens living standards regulated by the Companion Animal Ordinance.
The ordinance in effect reconciles the right to have pets with the rules of coexistence.
This requirement is based on that animals have a right living conditions and the duty to control and prevent discomfort and dangers they may cause to people and the environment.
Moreover, owners of animals classified as potentially hazardous are required to be licensed.
Permission is requested in the General Register of the City Council, after verification of compliance with the following requirements of applicant to be of age, no criminal record, have physical ability and psychological fitness to possess such animals and security accreditation liability for damages to third parties.
