Parliamentary Party spokesman, Juan Carlos Ruiz, has proposed a motion before the Regional Assembly requesting the Socialist government's Office to "make as many initiatives and efforts are necessary" for UNESCO to declare the Fiesta de los Caballos del Vino Caravaca de la Cruz and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

The popular explains that the origin of the Caballos del Vino is linked to the bathing ceremony of the Blessed and Vera Cruz de Caravaca in Wine.
Although its origin is earlier, their presence is documented for three centuries and brought to it a series of social, cultural, historical, religious and traditional festive than simply making an anthropological event recognized as unique in the world.
According to Ruiz, these characteristics and values ​​maintained throughout its history, "lead us to request your statement by UNESCO as World Heritage of Humanity.
"We understand that this is something unique in the world, a festival held over the centuries, with small variations that do not alter its essence and foundation, passed from generation to generation."
Finally, PPG spokesman stressed that the Wine Horses "should be preserved with the utmost integrity, thereby avoiding any distortion or transformation that may distort it."
