The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, Domingo Aranda, this afternoon attended the Conference on Plant and Judicial Demarcation organized by the High Court and the Supreme Judicial Council in collaboration with the University of Murcia.
In the cloister of the Law School will gather, from 17.30, various representatives of municipalities in the region and of the parliamentary groups of the Assembly, the regional government and the Ministry of Justice.
Those conferences have been convened to create a space for reflection between administrations, institutions and professional groups which input from a multidisciplinary prism, all aspects that should be considered for a future Murcia Plant Law and Judicial Demarcation.
So, first there will be a presentation that involved the vice president of the Supreme Judicial Council, Fernando de Rosa, the territorial voice, Miguel Carmona, the presidential advisor, Manuel Campos, the chief prosecutor, Manuel López Bernal, the rector University, Jose Antonio Cobacho or Government Secretary, Javier Parra, and which will address the need for reform.
In a subsequent round of interventions of members of the Judiciary in the Region, Office of the Community, Institute of Legal Medicine, deans of judges, lawyers, prosecutors or social workers or university professors municipal representatives will answer the question if they believe necessary new judicial demarcation proposals CGPJ report.
Caravaca City Council has expressed through a joint motion disagreeing with proposed foundation of the High Court of Justice, which aims to reduce the eleven to five judicial districts of the Region, and defends the permanence of the Judicial District of Caravaca composed of three courts and which includes the towns of Cehegin, Moratalla, Calasparra and Caravaca de la Cruz, with a population around 63,000 inhabitants.
