The Youth Council of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, in collaboration with the Human Project, teaches the course these days "Mediator Youth in Prevention of Drug Addiction."
This initiative is part of the Municipal Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction and the purpose of it is to train young people to know the real consequences of drug use and act as mediators in their environment, spreading healthy leisure habits.
The Councillor for Youth, Antonia María Álvarez Jorquera, who welcomed the 28 students accompanied by the therapist Maria Carmen Limonchi, explained that through this training are shown techniques and resources for instructors, animators and youth know how to work in the field of the prevention of drug.
The Youth Council puts up also other initiatives in the field of prevention, among which are the anti-smoking program "Healthy Travel", aimed at students of 4 º ESO, or the campaign against alcoholism in teens "Take a zero alcohol in minors."
Within your training plan nonformal education, the Youth Council soon taught other courses, such as "Monitor Hobbies and Leisure", with official title issued by the region, and "Techniques of time and resources free ", which will address new resources in the field of child and youth entertainment.
