Components of the Friends of the Bicycle of Murcia (BiciMur) these days are walking the Camino de la Vera Cruz.

Cyclists Mariano Vicente and Juan Bautista Tudela have set themselves the challenge complete pedaling about 900 kilometers from Puente de la Reina (Navarra) and Caravaca de la Cruz.

BiciMur is making the way for possible needs in the signaling pathway and thus contribute the improvement and enhancement of the Camino de la Vera Cruz, as explained in an interview with the mayor of Caravaca before starting the journey.

To do this, have scheduled a total of 12 stages, with a cumulative drop of almost 10,000 meters.

"Seven hundred years later, as modern Templars, we head to the center of worship representing Caravaca, with the same faith that has united thousands of pilgrims throughout history, across cultural and national interests," said Mariano Vincent at the previous visit to the city on.

El Camino de la Vera Cruz, considering historical references and Aragonese Templars flows, relies on traditional routes linking major different parts of the journey, spanning almost one hundred municipalities in the regions of Navarra, Aragon, Valencia, Castilla-La Mancha and Murcia.

The Autonomous Community of Murcia, in collaboration with the City of Caravaca and the Brotherhood of the Vera Cruz, is driven this road of pilgrimage as a journey that unites Roncesvalles and El Camino de Santiago, at the height of the town of Puente La Reina Navarra, to Caravaca de la Cruz.

This route, besides serving pilgrimage route allows its use by others driven by a cultural or sporting interest, which is a source of opportunities for socio-economic development of the territories through and for the recovery of their natural heritage and culture.

Other pilgrims and athletes such as cyclist yeclano Celso Bañón or members of the Association of Walkers "The Oak-Le Chaine" have completed in recent months the Camino de la Vera Cruz.
