In this morning was held in the city of Caravaca de la Cruz a meeting to establish and coordinate the traffic device, security and health care to the holding of the first Long Distance Triathlon, which will take place on 24 August with goal in Caravaca de la Cruz.
The meeting, chaired by the Mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, has had the participation of representatives from the departments of sports Caravaca, Moratalla and Calasparra and responsible for the Local Police, Guardia Civil, Civil Projection, Red Cross and Sports Association Al-Mudayna.
Testing will begin in the reservoir Alfonso XIII of Calasparra and athletes will have a time limit of seven hours to complete the course (1.9 km swim, 90 kilometer bike and 24 mile walk).
"A total of 15 points of supplies to ensure sufficient attention athletes to enter the FinishLine" reported the Councillor for Sports in Caravaca, Emilio Perez.
The safety device shall consist of a Underwater Rescue team of the Region of Murcia, motorized agents Traffic Civil Guard and local police in Caravaca, Moratalla and Calasparra.
They will be reinforced by 10 volunteers of Red Cross and Civil Protection 20, with ambulances and a field hospital.
Rounding out the device about 160 volunteers Al-Mudayna Sports Association, 10 technicians and monitors the Department of Sports City of Caravaca and a team of physiotherapists caravaqueños.
The first Long Distance Triathlon in the Region of Murcia is organized by the Sports Department of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz and the Al-Mudayna Sports Association, with technical direction Triathlon Federation of the Region of Murcia.
