Caravaca de la Cruz could receive a blood relic of St. John Paul II (04/05/2015)

"Caravaca, awakens faith, stand up and announces from the grace you have received!

I pray that in venerating the sign of the Cross, the Lord will give a big heart to love, ability to perceive the needs of the brothers and the strength to help them, "and was heading yesterday Mons. Lorca in the caravaqueños big day of its festivities in honor of the Blessed and Vera Cruz, in the parish of El Salvador in Caravaca.

The Vera Cruz left her less-sanctuary Basilica on the afternoon of May 2 to remain among caravaqueños until the afternoon of the 5th, when again back in procession to the castle.

During the Pontifical Mass was announced that the parish of El Salvador in Caravaca could receive a relic of the blood of John Paul II, at the request of the pastor of St. Thomas More Obertshausen (Germany), who already have a relic.

The Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of the Blessed and Vera Cruz and the parish of El Salvador in Caravaca twinned with Catholic churches of St. Thomas More and Sacred Heart of Jesus of Obertshausen on 9 December 2012. The formalization of this partnership ran by the then Brother of the Brotherhood, D. Pedro Martinez Pozo, and German priests, D. and D. Hans Hofmann Norbert König.

D. Norbert Hofmann explained that in 2012 visited Caravaca during the holidays and made the welcome return last year with a group of 46 pilgrims.

He explained that two days after returning to Obertshausen received the news that he was awarded a blood relic of St. John Paul II by the Diocese of Krakow.

"As for the twinning we are closer and more united as brothers, I decided to order a relic of the blood to Caravaca."

It was necessary for the grant signing pastor of El Salvador.

On this occasion Mr. Jesús Aguilar sent a letter to Cardinal Mons. Dzimisz Krakow by priests D. Pawel D. Diego Martinez and Bogdan.

The German priest has created, with the help of his parishioners, a foundation for young people to travel to Obertshausen caravaqueños for training or work.

The foundation took the name of John of the Cross, by tying the Carmelite friar Caravaca, and began to work with the collection on July 28, 2014 to celebrate the arrival of the relic of blood to the parish of St. Thomas More.

"In Obertshausen, which has become a pilgrimage city, and have four training places for young people Caravaca de la Cruz".
