The Mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, Jose Moreno, received this morning a group of users of the Day Centre in Caravaca, with the team of professionals responsible for attending the service, under the Instituto Murciano Social Action.
Users have raised issues such as the elimination of architectural barriers in public roads which hinder the passage of persons in wheel chair or with reduced mobility.
The Day Centre Caravaca de la Cruz, coordinated by Mari Carmen Muñoz, is located next to the Senior Center and has a team composed of a psychologist a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist and three assistants.
It offers comprehensive care during the day period to people in situations of dependency in order to improve or maintain the best possible level of personal autonomy and support families and caregivers.
In particular, they cover the needs of counseling, prevention, rehabilitation, guidance for empowerment, enablement or assistance and personal attention.
