Caravaqueña Adenow association, in collaboration with the Department of Sports and the regional federations of Mountaineering and Speleology, celebrates the 'Week of the Mountain', with which commemorates the 25th anniversary of its creation.
Activities have started with the exhibition, which will remain open until Saturday, from 17.00 to 22.00, in the Cultural Hall of Cajamurcia.
The mayor, José Moreno, and the mayor of Sports, Antonio Donate, have accompanied the association president, Alfonso barriers, and its components during the opening of the exhibition that gathers images, press clippings and posters of the activities organized by Adenow and the photographic exhibition 'Cuevas de Murcia' of the Regional Federation of Speleology and all material related to mountain sports.
The activities of the 'Week of the Mountain' will resume tomorrow, Tuesday 2 hand Professor Luis Arrufat Milan, which will give the lecture "La Sagra: A place of unique geological interest affected by mountain sports".
Wednesday's talk will focus on "The challenge Caravaca Experience Trail: Mountain, sport and solidarity" by the organizers of this event.
On Thursday, Caving expert Juan Quero Llor expose the 'Cuevas de Murcia' and Friday thematic project will be the "Descent of Canyons".
All lectures will be held at the Cultural Hall Cajamurcia, at 20.30.
The 'Week of the Mountain' will flourish with the closing conference by Carlos Soria, Spanish climber who, at 76, is immersed in the challenge of being the oldest person to reach the summit 14 highest mountains in the world.
It is the only mountaineer who has climbed ten mountains over 8,000 meters after turning 60, and is the oldest person in history who has risen successfully to K2 (65), Broad Peak (68 years), Makalu (69 years), Gasherbrum I (70), Manaslu (71 years) and Kanchenjunga (75 years).
