Students of the Regional Centre for Adult Education have planted trees in the courtyard of Holy Cross College in its program of extracurricular activities.
The initiative has received support from the Department of Environment of the City of Caravaca, which has subsidized the 13 trees planted and a drip irrigation system.
When planting, students in the specialties of Hairdressing, Hospitality and Training Pack has been accompanied by the Councillor for Environment, Antonia Maria Alvarez, and the council Works and Services, Juan Pedro Martinez, as well as the center's director, Maria Antonia Olmos.
In total we have planted 16 trees of various species as platanoides, Tilo Platifilios and privets Ball, all evergreens.
Some of the objectives with the conclusion of this activity, as has been explained from the direction of the Regional Centre for Adults, are aware of the importance of protecting the environment, create habits for the maintenance of parks and gardens, to promote knowledge about different types of trees and finally, to inculcate students the importance of teamwork.
