In the last five years the number of students enrolled at the Conservatory has increased from 300 to 700
During the months of May and April, held a series of concerts to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the building of the Conservatory of Music Leandro Martínez Romero.
The mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, Councillor of Education, Juan Pedro Sanchez, director of the Conservatory and Antonio Andreu, today presented the planned activities and have taken the opportunity to highlight some facts that show the development experienced by the conservatory recent years.
In the other scheduled concerts involving both students and teachers, as well as renowned soloists Professor Javier Artigas, offering a key hearing entitled "Bach's keyboard music."
The cycle begins today, Wednesday, at 19.30 in the Hall of the Conservatory with a concert by students of the Conservatory Bassoon.
The mayor wanted to thank the faculty, the direction of the conservatory and the families of students the confidence they have placed in the center.
In the detailed study of Andreu Antonio Torrecilla concerning the operation of the center, noted that currently studying music in different modalities offered a total of 700 students compared to 300 who attended the center in 2002.
Also, the number of teachers has increased over the last five years from 14 to 38, making it possible to also teach in different districts.
"The conservatory, which currently has the most modern facilities in the region, organized between 90 and 100 events per year between concerts, recitals, conferences and training courses," remarked the director of the Conservatory at the press conference this morning.
