The City of Caravaca distribute free recycling bins for waste between caravaqueñas families.
This was announced today the council Works and Services, Juan Pedro Sánchez, and Council Member for the Environment, Antonia M ª Álvarez, who have stressed that this is a measure intended to facilitate recycling between families from the municipality that is placed on pioneering way up through collaboration between the Directorate General of Environmental Quality, the City of Caravaca and the concessionaire of the cleaning service, lawn.
The City has acquired 3,100 units of these containers are subdivided into three spaces.
Interested families may remove containers in the Youth Center (Avenida de Los Andenes) Monday through Friday mornings.
According to data provided by lawns, Caravaca de la Cruz has a current level of collection of light packaging well above the national average.
In 2006, collected 187,860 kilograms 203,320 kgs in 2007, and 2008 (until last September) 155 640 kgs.
"Given last year's data, each caravaqueño recycled an average of 8 kilograms of light packaging data, which despite being very positive, we expect to exceed this measure of detached container," remarked Councilman Juan Pedro Sánchez.
For his part, Councillor for the Environment is committed to increasing the number of containers for packaging light yellow.
"Although we are currently above the average per capita container according to the Regional Waste Plan with 124 yellow bins before the end of the year will increase the number of our parishes."
