Caravaca City Council will tomorrow, Friday Urban Award in the Region of Murcia in the category of Management Planning Process for the degree of information and citizen participation in the drafting of the General Urban Plan (PGMO).
Urban Awards, which went to five municipalities, will be delivered at 13.00 in the auditorium of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning.
The event is expected to attend the City Council by Mayor Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, and Town Planning, Amador Lopez, who will receive the award from Minister José Ballesta.
Planning Awards aim to evaluate the effort of institutions, organizations, companies and professionals in the field of Urban Region and the dissemination of those success stories and ideas that can be taken as references for future development projects in the Region Murcia.
Ballesta counselor noted in the failure of the awards that the purpose of these awards is simply to recognize good practices in urban planning.
The jury was composed of representatives of the Official College of Architects, the Association of Engineers, the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations, Universities and Region Federation of Municipalities and the Ministry of Public Works and Planning Territory.
The General Urban Plan of Caravaca went ahead after more than ten years of work of the writing team, planning the growth lines in the municipality for the coming years.
The new plan calls for about two million square meters of industrial land and protects more than half of the municipality.
