The Governing Council has approved in its session today, Friday, an agreement between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Consortium 'Northwest Greenway' by which this entity was granted two million euros to build and equip accommodations that will mean the creation of a total of 200 new jobs.
Under this agreement, will build a shelter on the site of 'The Plain', with a budget of 1,680,000 euros.
This will allow hotel establishment, together with those projected in the Almudema and the old railway station, welcoming the pilgrims who come to Caravaca de la Cruz to celebrate the Holy Year 2010.
The Councillor for Tourism and Celebrations, Gonzalo López-Auguy, expressed his gratitude for the strong support that the regional government is paying the City of Caravaca when the city provide the necessary infrastructure to meet the next Jubilee event.
