'The bronze Sergio' set out in the old Society of Jesus (02/12/2008)

The exhibition hall of the old Society of Jesus accepts from today until December 22, the exhibition 'The bronze Sergio', consisting of a selection of sculptures depicting major figures in the history of Spain.

The exhibition was inaugurated this morning by the councilman of Culture of the City of Caravaca, Maria Cruz Pérez, in the company of artist and curator of the exhibition, Alfonso Carlos Peña.

Although it takes more than 28 years modeling in wax and clay, he reached fame as a sculptor since 1998, when it began to be revealed in solo.

His sculptures, made by the method of the 'lost wax', nine communities have traveled and have been present at commemorative exhibitions in Madrid, Valencia, Burgos, Cordoba, Granada and Melilla.

This is the first exhibition Sergio held in Murcia, then visit the town of Mazarrón.

Sergio's popularity as a classical sculptor, realistic, meticulous and detail has become in recent years one of the best sculptors in bronze of Spain.

The naturalness knows printing works is not unique to the human characters, but also of that animal, so dear to the artist, as is the horse.

Sergio makes his bronzes a lesson in the history of Spain through the representation of characters such as "El Cid", Carlos III and Juan II of Ciudad Real.
