The City Council will launch a second Local Public Employment Program that could be recruited for a period of 8 months 11 others unemployed and registered with the Employment Office.
The program, called "Monitoring and control of access and information in preparing for and during the Holy Year 2010," has a budget of 180,000 euros, of which 172,500 euros will be funded by the Regional Employment Service and Training and the rest Consistory.
"With this initiative we fulfill the dual purpose of giving work to unemployed people and at the same time, assist in the development of the Holy Year 2010," said the mayor of Employment, Salvador Gomez.
The two started employment programs are part, together with employment workshops and training courses, of the measures to alleviate as much as possible the situation of crisis.
To carry out the work provided shall be selected from all nominations submitted by the Employment Office at 3 and 8 auxiliary information vigilantes.
The program, which is scheduled for early November, will focus on conducting surveillance and control efforts and information offices and information points, exhibitions, museums, tours, pilgrimages, events, institutional and religious events.
Last September was put into operation other Local Public Employment Program for the enhancement of the archaeological site of La Cabezuela Barranda with a budget of 217,500 euros.
Putting this program been allowed to hire 10 people for 9 months.
