Caravaca City Council has been formalized in the early morning cooperation agreements will be carried out with various cities that are the passage of the pilgrimage routes.
In a ceremony presided by the Minister of the Presidency, Pedro María Reverte, in the Palacio de San Esteban, the mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, has signed agreements with their counterparts in Abanilla, Fernando Molina, Ulea, José Bolarín, and Farm Rocamora, José Roca, the three municipalities located in the so-called "Route of the True Cross" which will be reflected in the new publication "Cross Roads."
The purpose of these agreements is to summon the will by the authorities in the various cities to promote the Holy Year 2010 and disseminate the main activities under this event.
Among the points covered in the agreement is the joint dissemination and support of tourism products and the history of both cities, the holding of exchanges of students and the implementation of special discounts and promotions in stores and restaurants through Booklet Pilgrim.
In this regard, Domingo Aranda stated that through these agreements is to "create an experience of cultural exchange and economic development between the towns linked to the pilgrim routes exploiting the Holy Year 2010."
Cartagena will be the next city to join this initiative in a ceremony scheduled for next Friday.
