Caravaca de la Cruz hosts tomorrow, Saturday May 8, the celebration of the Greenways.
During the day various activities will take place and a popular rice in the tent city of the old railway station.
Day Greenways includes two tours.
The first period starts at 9:30 am from the old train station Caravaca, with a walking or cycling along the Greenway, heading Cehegín, and then returns to the station, which means a distance of about 5.6 kilometers, and about two hours.
The second route begins at 12:30 am in the same starting point, and goes to the Basilica de la Vera Cruz, to return back to the old station of Caravaca.
The route is 4 miles and takes about an hour and a half.
To participate in this day is essential to enroll in any tourist office in the Region of Murcia.
Participants will receive gifts related to this day, a bag of supplies and also enter the draw for two mountain bikes.
Also can enjoy a dish of earth, such as rice with rabbit.
There will also be a climbing wall, inflatables and numerous youth activities.
From City of Caravaca want to encourage all residents of the Northwest Region and the Region of Murcia as a whole to participate in this day of leisure and sports held in the city, coinciding with the Holy Year 2010.
It is recalled that the Greenway is one of the main roads of pilgrimage to Caravaca de la Cruz.
The Ministry of Tourism has invested more than 4 million euros in various sections of this road to give it shelter and restore forest.
