Starting this Saturday, 8th, and until May 23 Plaza San Juan de la Cruz will host the book fair.
The Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca, through the City Library has decided to expand the programming of the Book Fair with concerts, lectures and signatures of writers to coincide with the celebration of Holy Year 2010.
"In 2010, coinciding with the Jubilee, we have planned a series of side events including author and complementary activities that mark the beginning of programs that cover the whole year with a monthly activity around the book," announced the Councillor for Culture, Maria Cruz Pérez.
Activities begin Saturday with the opening of the exhibition organized by the Urban Ramón Granada bookseller, where you can find a wide range of new and classic literature.
Later, at 20.00 pm in the old church of the Jesuit writer Luis Leante give a talk and sign copies of his latest novel, "The Red Moon."
Tomorrow, Saturday, also open to the public the exhibition "The legacy of paper", located in the exhibition hall of the House of Culture Emilio Sáez, in traveling exhibitions organized by the Biblioteca Regional de Murcia.
During the next days activities will take place in the Society of Jesus related to the world of reading as a symposium conducted by the author Cartagena Jose Espinosa on juvenile literature (14 May), a poetry recital by Natalia Carbajosa and Juan Ortega (May 15), a musical poetry reading in honor of Miguel Hernández (May 16), a talk by finalist Ignacio Vargas Llosa 2008 Burgundy (21 May) and a talk by the author Maria Duenas (22 May).
