The General Director of Vocational Training and Special Education, Sergio López Barrancos, has opened the week of open doors in the Northwest CEPA of Caravaca de la Cruz
The seventeen centers of adult education in the Region of Murcia open their doors to the community to show the most outstanding organizational and academic aspects of the training they offer, as well as to provide the adult population with the information necessary for their registration in these teachings
The Director General of Vocational Training and Special Education, Sergio López Barrancos, has opened the Open Door Week in the Northwest CEPA of Caravaca de la Cruz, encouraging citizens to participate in the activities programmed by the different centers.
The Director General has highlighted that, in the next academic year, the CEPA
"Noroeste" offers 805 places, which represents an increase of 14.18% over the previous year.
He also noted that in the Municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz, a group of Basic Vocational Training for over 17 years of "Maintenance of Vehicles" and a group of Foreign Language "English" has been implemented in order to improve the professional qualification of the students, allowing them to increase their employability, as well as a group of Compulsory Secondary Education for adults in a distance regime, favoring the flexibility of these teachings, adapting them to the educational needs of the adult population.
Also, he explained that during the development of this week the teaching teams will report on the pedagogical philosophy of these centers, the educational work that they develop and their training offer.
To do this, they will conduct guided tours of the centers where attendees can share information with teachers and students, as well as activities including project exhibitions, photography competitions, reading club work or academic and professional orientation talks.
López Barrancos, in his visit, has highlighted the important work carried out by adult education centers, responding to the different personal and work situations of the citizens to whom these teachings are directed, which entails a reduction in the rate of school dropout.
Equally, it has valued the effort and the implication of the profesorado like central axis so that the people complete his training and improve his professional qualification.
The CEPA "Noroeste" has developed various activities throughout the morning, which have been attended by citizens interested in learning first hand the operation and training offer of the center.
On this day teachers and students have exchanged information with attendees having the opportunity to share their personal experiences.
